The fall auction season continues next week with Post-War and Contemporary art sales at Christie’s, Phillips and Sotheby’s … here are the top five lots (by estimate) at the Christie’s sale November 8, followed by an additional five lots of interest …

Lot 34 Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997)

Lot 71 Mark Rothko (1903-1970)

Painted in 1956.  Est. $18,000,000-25,000,000. This lot sold for a hammer price of $16.5 million, or $18,562.500 with buyer’s premium.
