NATO raids spared antiquities in western Libya …

The Associated Press report that Libyan antiquities, including such famous Roman site Leptis Magna, were not bombed during the month’s long campaign that led to the ouster of Col. Qaddafi. This is in welcome contrast to the beatings that major sites in Iraq have taken in the past decade.
