The Spring 2012 sales at Berlin’s Bassenge has an assortment of amusing (such as the above Pieter Bruegel the Elder image of this man being robbed by apes), odd, horrifying and captivating works.  This is a sampling from the hundreds and hundreds of work in the sales that run May 31 – June 2.  Also included is this detailed illustration of the 1904 World’s Fair by the American artist Edward Cucuel.
